Angels
1. In the Book of Revelation, angels play a significant role as celestial beings who serve God and carry out His purposes. They are depicted as powerful and glorious beings who worship and obey God, execute His judgments, and deliver messages to humanity.
2. Throughout the Book of Revelation, angels are described in various ways and perform different functions. They are often seen as messengers, bringing divine revelations and instructions to John, the author of Revelation. They also participate in heavenly worship, praising and glorifying God.
3. In Revelation 5, for example, angels are depicted as surrounding the throne of God, along with the elders and living creatures, singing songs of praise. In Revelation 7, they are responsible for sealing the servants of God on their foreheads, protecting them from harm during the impending tribulation. In Revelation 8 and 9, angels are involved in sounding trumpets and releasing divine judgments upon the earth.
4. One prominent angelic figure in Revelation is the Archangel Michael, who is mentioned several times. In Revelation 12, Michael leads an army of angels in battle against the dragon (Satan) and his angels. This symbolic conflict represents the cosmic struggle between good and evil.
