Priest

Exodus 28:1: "Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron's sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar." This verse explains that Aaron and his sons were appointed by God to serve as priests, representing the Israelites in their worship and service to God.
Leviticus 10:11: "And that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord has spoken to them by the hand of Moses." God commanded the priests, through Moses, to teach the Israelites the statutes and laws that were given to them, guiding them in their worship and obedience.
Leviticus 21:6: "They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God; therefore, they shall be holy." This verse describes the requirement for priests to maintain holiness and avoid any actions that would dishonor God, as they are entrusted with offering sacrifices and presenting offerings to Him.
Numbers 3:10: "So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death." This verse emphasizes the exclusive role and responsibility of priests. Only Aaron and his sons were authorized to perform priestly duties, and anyone who illegally approached the sanctuary would face severe consequences.
Numbers 18:7: "Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything at the altar and behind the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood to you as a gift for service, but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death." Here, God reiterates that Aaron and his sons were chosen by Him to serve as priests. They were responsible for the duties related to the altar and the inner sanctuary. This passage affirms the perpetual priesthood given to them by God.
