Lice Infestation
The plague of lice is one of the ten plagues recorded in the Bible. When Moses stretched Aaron's rod into the dust of Egypt, the dust turned into lice, and they crawled on people and animals, causing great pain and inconvenience to the Egyptians. (Exodus 8:16-19)
The louse appeared to show the Egyptians the power of the gods and force Pharaoh to release the Israelites. These lice are huge in number and widely distributed, causing serious troubles to people's lives. Lice sting the skin of humans and animals, causing severe itching and discomfort, and causing them physical suffering.
Through this disaster, God showed his power and authority to the Egyptians, and warned Pharaoh that if God's will was not carried out, the subsequent disasters would be more serious.
